What a difference an instructor makes!!!

I have been taking Pilates Plus classes religiously for over a year and half and I have to say that it has been the best work out I have ever done in all my exercise life. I am a 44 year old mother of 3, who has exercised her whole life as well as played various sports throughout high school and college. This is by far the best way to get into shape. My whole body has changed as well as my attitude toward my body. When I was in my twenties I thought it was all about being skinny so I starved myself and workout as much as possible-now it is all about being strong and healthy. Not only have I lost weight but my posture is better, my legs are leaner- and Oh did I mention my ass! Although there are quite a few Pilates Plus to choose from-Don't Be Fooled-it is all about the instructor-and Annabelle is such an instructor. Not only is she attentive and knowledgeable, she is a good motivator and keeps you going through the most grueling of exercises. Thanks Annabelle for pushing me past my limit.

I am a 44 year old mother of 2 (13 and 10), married for 18 years (yikes) with not an athletic bone in my body... that is to say, I never really played any sports as a kid and I'm not training for that mid-life crisis tri-athalon ( unless the 'tri' refers to red, white, AND rose wine drinking...) But a friend roped me into trying pilates about a year ago, and I have been hooked ever since. My body has completely changed over the course of that year - I fit into all of my pre pregnancy clothes again and that is without changing my diet at all. The best part really, is that I am stronger and leaner, and more fit than I was in my 20's. I don't know why it works so well - but I do know how I have stuck with it: by seeking out the classes that are taught by the best instructors. The moves may be more or less the same from one class to the next, but unless you have a high energy teacher, who plays good music, knows how to change it up, corrects 'and motivates you when you are slacking off, and treats you like a private client even in a group setting, you will get bored. I have been taking 'Annabelle's class for about a year now, at 6:00 am no less, and I don't have any trouble getting motivated to get to the studio when I know she is going to be there to kick my ass.
And by the way, stronger + leaner + fitter = more confident &sexier= ...well, lets just say married life is good!

I would highly recommend Annabelle to anyone, especially to all those guys out there that think that pilates is for girls. I was dared by my girlfriend to try it and now I am hooked. Annabelle is the best! She's challenging but fun and the class goes by so fast I don't even get a chance to look at the clock. Annabelle is an awesome trainer. She gives every client in her classes personalized attention. Annabelle takes the time to understand each client's personal goals. Whether a client is a gifted athlete or has never seen the inside of a gym, Annabelle trains the client with the same level of commitment. Annabelle constantly adjusts her routines and will modify her program during class based on the clients. She also listens to feedback so if she hears that people want to focus on certain parts of the body (e.g. core or arms), she'll design her programs to make sure that people get the workout they want.
Annabelle has the eyes of a hawk. During her classes, she watches every client and notices if weights need to be adjusted or if a client's form needs to be tweaked. She doesn't allow anyone to cheat themselves of a hard core workout. Annabelle works extremely hard during her classes to make sure that people achieve the maximum results.
She makes the workout program a team effort. Annabelle makes every client feel like she is working with them to meet their personal objectives. She is caring and compassionate and these qualities are reflected in her training style.
Most importantly, Annabelle's classes are really fun. She forces each client to give their maximum effort without being a drill sergeant. She's funny and has lots of energy. Annabelle clearly is an expert at training people and every client should feel lucky to get to take her class.

Ky is completely passionate about being a trainer. He works really hard in his classes. He maintains a high energy level during his classes and that forces the clients to stay focused during his classes just so they can keep up with him. He jokes and dances during his classes to help distract his clients from the pain of his workouts. But don't be fooled. He's extremely serious about transforming people's bodies.
Ky cares about all his clients regardless of their size or athletic experience. His confidence in his ability to change a client's body is contagious. After listening to him pound his message over and over again, clients start to believe in themselves.
Ky makes clients feel good about themselves and convinces them that they are capable of changing their bodies. He notices changes in each client's body which makes clients feel like they are making progress towards achieving their goals.
Ky is extremely knowledgeable about training people. He always has time to listen to his clients. He'll answer questions about the routines or personal goals. He'll customize cardio routines for people to add to their pilates workout schedule and design menus for people to follow outside of his classes.
Ky is a treasure and the cost of the class is a bargain.
